Last night a DJ saved my Tuesday
The after-work club runs from six to ten, closes before the last train, and is full every week.
At six o’clock the office crowd arrives still wearing lanyards. By seven the lanyards are in pockets. By eight the floor is full and the DJ has stopped pretending this is background music.
The idea is simple: a proper club night that ends early enough to sleep. No queue, no door policy, soft drinks at the same price as beer.
“People want to dance,” says the organiser. “They just also want to go to work tomorrow.”
