Getting Started

How do I know if I or my loved one needs treatment?

Signs that treatment may be needed include: inability to control substance use, withdrawal symptoms when not using, neglecting responsibilities, relationship problems due to use, tolerance (needing more to achieve the same effect), and continued use despite negative consequences. If you're questioning whether help is needed, it's usually a sign that it is. Our team can provide a confidential assessment.

What is the first step to getting help?

The first step is reaching out. You can call our 24/7 helpline at 1-800-555-1234 or complete our online assessment form. Our compassionate admissions team will listen to your situation, answer questions, and help determine the best path forward. This initial conversation is completely confidential.

How quickly can I be admitted?

In most cases, we can complete the admissions process and arrange admission within 24-48 hours. For urgent situations, same-day admission may be possible. Call us and we'll work to accommodate your timeline.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No referral is necessary. You can contact us directly to begin the admissions process. Our medical team will conduct a comprehensive assessment upon admission.

Treatment Programs

What types of treatment programs do you offer?

We offer a full continuum of care including: Medical Detoxification (3-10 days), Residential Treatment (30-90 days), Partial Hospitalization/PHP (2-4 weeks), Intensive Outpatient/IOP (8-12 weeks), Individual Therapy, Family Programs, and Alumni/Aftercare support. The right program depends on your unique needs and circumstances.

How long does treatment last?

Treatment length varies based on individual needs. Detox typically takes 3-10 days. Residential treatment is often 30-90 days, though some benefit from longer stays. Outpatient programs run 8-12 weeks. Our clinical team will recommend the appropriate duration based on your assessment and progress.

What therapies do you use?

We use evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR for trauma, Motivational Interviewing, 12-Step Facilitation, and holistic approaches like yoga, meditation, and art therapy. Treatment is individualized to each patient's needs.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health disorders?

Yes, we specialize in dual diagnosis treatment. Many people with substance use disorders also struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other mental health conditions. We treat both simultaneously for the best outcomes.

Insurance & Payment

Does insurance cover addiction treatment?

Yes, most insurance plans cover addiction treatment. The Mental Health Parity Act requires insurance companies to provide equal coverage for mental health and substance use disorders. We work with most major insurance providers and will verify your benefits at no cost.

What if I don't have insurance?

We offer self-pay options with flexible payment plans. We also work with healthcare financing companies and can discuss scholarship opportunities based on financial need. Don't let cost prevent you from getting help.

Will my employer find out if I use my insurance?

No. All communications with us are confidential and protected by HIPAA. Your employer will not be notified when you verify insurance or receive treatment. We take privacy very seriously.

How much will treatment cost out-of-pocket?

Out-of-pocket costs depend on your insurance plan, deductible, and coverage level. After verifying your insurance, we'll provide a clear estimate of any costs you may be responsible for before admission.

What to Expect

What should I bring to treatment?

Bring comfortable clothing for 7-10 days, personal hygiene items, a photo ID, insurance card, list of current medications, and emergency contact information. Leave valuables, large amounts of cash, and any substances at home. We'll provide a complete list upon admission.

Can I have visitors?

Yes, we encourage family involvement in recovery. Visitation hours are typically on weekends (Sat-Sun 2pm-5pm). Family members are also invited to participate in family therapy sessions and educational programs.

Can I use my phone during treatment?

Phone policies vary by program level. In residential treatment, phone use is typically limited to designated times to minimize distractions and focus on recovery. Outpatient patients have no phone restrictions.

What is a typical day like in treatment?

Days are structured with a combination of individual therapy, group sessions, educational workshops, meals, exercise, and free time. You'll wake early, participate in morning meditation or yoga, attend therapy sessions throughout the day, and wind down in the evening.

Family & Support

Can family members be involved in treatment?

Family involvement is an important part of recovery. We offer family therapy sessions, education programs to help families understand addiction, and family support groups. Healing the family system supports long-term recovery.

Do you have programs for family members?

Yes, our Family Program runs 8 weeks and includes family therapy, education about addiction, communication skills training, boundary-setting workshops, and support groups. We also facilitate connections to Al-Anon and other family support resources.

How can I help my loved one who doesn't want treatment?

This is a common and difficult situation. We can provide guidance on how to approach the conversation, discuss intervention options, and help you understand enabling behaviors to avoid. Sometimes families need support too, even when the person with addiction isn't ready for help.

After Treatment

What happens after I complete treatment?

Before discharge, we create a comprehensive aftercare plan including outpatient therapy recommendations, support group connections, relapse prevention strategies, and alumni program enrollment. Recovery is a lifelong journey, and we provide ongoing support.

What is your alumni program?

Our alumni program provides lifelong support including weekly meetings, recovery community events, peer mentorship opportunities, crisis support access, sober living referrals, and career support services. You'll always be part of our community.

What if I relapse after treatment?

Relapse can be part of the recovery journey. It's not a failure—it's a sign that the treatment plan needs adjustment. If you relapse, reach out immediately. We're here to help you get back on track without judgment.
