Orders and delivery

Why do you only ship plants Monday to Wednesday?

So they spend one night in transit, not a weekend in a warm or freezing depot. Orders placed from Wednesday afternoon go out the following Monday.

What if I’m not home?

The courier texts you a one-hour window on the day, and you can redirect to a neighbour or a pick-up point. Plants can sit in their box for up to two days without harm.

Do you deliver in winter?

Yes. When it freezes we add insulating wool and heat packs, and pause deliveries if temperatures drop below −5 °C, letting you know by e-mail.

Guarantee and returns

What does the 30-day plant guarantee cover?

If a plant arrives damaged or declines within 30 days of delivery despite reasonable care, send us a photo and we replace it or refund you. You don’t need to send the plant back.

Can I return a plant I don’t like?

Living plants can’t be returned for a change of mind, because they don’t survive a second journey well. Pots and tools can be returned unused within 30 days.

My plant dropped a leaf after delivery. Is it dying?

Almost certainly not. A move is stressful and a leaf or two may yellow while it adjusts to your light. Give it two weeks before worrying, and write to us if it keeps going.

Plant care

How do I know how much light my spot gets?

Use our Light Finder, or try the shadow test from our guide to reading light: hold your hand above the spot at midday and look at the shadow.

Should I repot my new plant straight away?

No. Let it settle for a month. Our plants arrive in fresh compost and a grow pot that suits their size.

Are your plants safe for cats and dogs?

Plants labelled “Pet-safe” are listed as non-toxic to cats and dogs by the ASPCA. You can filter the whole shop by it.
