The story
Each Lantern shade is folded by hand from a single sheet of washi paper, then stretched over a steel ring. Light passes through the pleats unevenly, so the column glows rather than shines.
Materials
Washi paper · Translucent and fibrous; turns light into a soft glow.
Brushed aluminium · Light, cool and quietly reflective.
Heavy linen · Dry, cool hand with a natural slub; creases gracefully.
Dimensions
W 30 × D 30 × H 150 cm
Care
Dust the shade with a hair dryer on a cool setting.
