The story
Every joint in the Rung is a wedged tenon, cut and fitted by hand at Nordvik Joinery. Nothing is glued that cannot be repaired: if a rung ever loosens, it can be re-wedged in minutes.
Materials
European oak · Pale honey tones and a strong, open grain. Hard enough for tabletops, soft enough to carve.
American black walnut · Dark, fine and slightly figured, with purple and grey notes that settle once oiled.
Ebonised ash · Deep black with the grain still visible through the colour.
Dimensions
W 38 × D 38 × H 75 cm
Care
Keep away from underfloor heating vents; wood moves with humidity.
