Fiddle-leaf figs dislike change. Choose a bright spot, put it there and leave it: moving it, draughts and irregular watering all lead to dropped leaves. In the right place it grows tall and dramatic.
How to care for it

- Bright light with some direct morning or evening sun. A metre from a south- or west-facing window works well.
- Water
- Water thoroughly when the top 5 cm are dry, about weekly in summer, and keep the routine steady.
- Good to know
- Expect a few dropped leaves after delivery while it adjusts. Turn it every month or so for even growth.
